In the last two days there has been a wealth of emails sent to mom stirred up from a tiny dog living in the U.K. This pup’s life has been changed when his own stem cells were taken from his nose and injected into his spine. This was a dog with a hind end that didn’t work at all – paralyzed - but, after receiving this treatment he is running around on his own now.
That sparked a lot of my fans to respond and no matter what comes of it all (yes mom’s already got the messages out in abundance) what is so touching to me is how many of you think of me and offer your ideas and your hope and prayers. It doesn’t get any better than that and for that I am deeply grateful.
I also just heard from the first beautiful soul who rescued me when I was just a pup. She helped me in my critical beginning and was instrumental in getting the life saving things that I needed like, a repair for the hole in my heart - that is HUGE!!! She also found a place for me to stay - Best Friends where I would be cared for. Oh… my… gosh! I am SO thankful!
Then came Best Friends to the rescue and there is not enough thanks on the planet for their ongoing care. If it weren’t for the caretakers and all who supported me near and also from afar, I would not be here... period. I would not have my cart, I would not have my new family. I would not be thriving like I am. I simply, would not exist. I am SO thankful!
I was thinking about how lucky I am and then thinking about those effected by the hurricane on the East Coast so I wrote it down as it came to me.
When “dinner’s!” called out, when you sit at the table
Remember those who have less or others unable
To share a warm meal in a place once called home
Those storm clouds that left many feeling alone
I know in my heart there are others who care
And I know in my heart just what love can repair
Their glass has been emptied and now can be filled
With strength and with courage to start to rebuild.
So give all you can from that place in your heart
The call of love hears you wherever you are.
Please take one moment, one moment to share
A smile or a kind hand please show that you care.
This holiday is
THANKS + GIVING
We only have to follow those two simple words.
